Hi Ellen! Thank you for inquiring about our sofa beds. The price posted with the Congo Sofa Bed Linen Fabric - Grey is for the frame itself only (mattress is not included). The recommended mattress height for the bottom bed should be not more than 25cm high to fit in under the top bed. We have some low-profile mattresses available that would fit to this bed such as the <a href="/bedroom/mattresses/sprung-mattresses/tara-mattress/tara-single-3ft-mattress">Tara Single 3ft Mattress</a> and <a href="/bedroom/mattresses/sprung-mattresses/symphony-de-luxe/symphony-de-luxe-mattress-3ft-low-profile-190cm-top-bunk-beds">Symphony De Luxe Mattress 3ft Low Profile 190cm ( top bunk beds)</a>.
